This month, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students from schools across the Rakovník region visited PINIE s.r.o., a company specializing in the production of woodworking workbenches and wooden tools. The excursion was part of the annual “Skilled Hands” initiative, which regularly involves local elementary schools. During the visit, students had the opportunity to explore the production process and see how wooden products are made – from the initial material processing to the final product. They learned interesting facts about working with wood, the technologies used, and the skills that are essential in the woodworking craft. The excursion also included a talk with Mr. Miroslav Pecha, who captivatingly explained how a tree grows from a seed, how its age is determined, and the important role trees play in nature and human life. After the tour, each student selected a material from which they will create their own project during school woodworking classes throughout the year. In the spring, they will have the opportunity to submit their creations to the “Skilled Hands” competition, with the awards ceremony taking place at PINIE s.r.o. The excursion was not only an engaging addition to the students’ lessons but also an inspiration for their own creations, showing that working with wood can be both fun and useful.

Today, PINIE s.r.o. hosted the ceremonial announcement of the results of the “Šikovné ruce” (Skilled Hands) competition, which brought together elementary school students from across the Rakovník region. The competition provides children with an annual opportunity to showcase their craftsmanship, creativity, and passion for working with wood. This year, students from 7th, 8th, and 9th grades participated, creating their own wooden projects during school woodworking classes throughout the year. The jury faced a difficult task, as all the entries were imaginative and carefully crafted. In the end, several outstanding works were selected and awarded with small gifts and diplomas. The joy of success was visible not only on the faces of the winners but also among all participants. Awards were also given in the Originality category. The entire morning was filled with a friendly and creative atmosphere. We thank PINIE s.r.o. for their warm hospitality, Mr. Miroslav Pech for his support and inspiration, and everyone involved in organizing the competition. We are already looking forward to the next edition and the new, original creations of our talented students!
At PINIE, a traditional Czech manufacturer of wooden tools, workbenches, and components, we are moving forward toward a more modern and efficient production process. We are currently completing the digitalization of our filing system, which enables online input and output tracking as well as order management directly through the system. This gives us better oversight of every step of production and allows us to respond more flexibly to our customers’ needs. Our goal is not only to digitalize but also to automate processes, simplify workflows, and increase overall manufacturing efficiency. In doing so, we combine the traditional craftsmanship of Czech woodworking with modern technologies, ensuring that we continue to deliver products our customers can rely on.
